PowerGuard DPM Range

PowerGuard are proud to introduce a unique and cost effective solution to seamlessly control the power consumed at any domestic site.

 

The DPM product range enables homes and small businesses (e.g. B&Bs) to operate as if their electricity supply is from 40 to 160 Amps (9KW to 36KW) per phase higher than the actual feed to the property!

 

Annoying trips, limited property development options and additional appliance potential (e.g. geysers, under-floor heaters and air-conditioners) are addressed by installing the correct Power Guard model.

 

This South African design is patented, SABS certified and locally manufactured. A well researched and proven algorithm manages various loads according to a set hierarchy combined with timing, load, supply and reserve power calculation by constantly monitoring the total power to the installation.

PowerGuard caters for single, dual and three phase installations.

 

In addition, PowerGuard can accommodate stand-by power generators as well as protecting loads against over and under voltage conditions. All units can operate with input voltages of between 180 to 420Vac indefinitely and can

withstand 6,000 Volt spikes as well as conforming to regulated EMI standards.

 

The DPM20-2 and DPM10-4 are self-contained units while the DPM20-8 is a modular design comprising of an 8-channel controller serving up to eight RL20-1 power switches.

 

All units carry a 2 year warranty and can be easily installed by a certified

electrician.

HomeGuard DPM20-1

Automatic Control of Electrical Devices

in Unoccupied Areas

HomeGuard DPM20-1

Do you worry when you leave your home for work, your holiday home or your weekend home that you will forget to switch off the hot water geyser? HomeGuard have a unique and cost effective solution for you.

HomeGuard ensures that unnecessary loads, for example, hot water geysers, are switched off during extended periods when holiday homes are vacant. Homeguard also is the answer to the commuter who worries about power saving and whether a geyser has been switched on or off. It's just human to forget and HomerGuard makes sure you do not forget.

This is achieved by motion monitoring that allows power to a selected load to be switched off after a 48-hour period of no motion detection. For commuters the 48 hour period can be changed to 48 minutes. After 48 minutes the geyser will switch oof and after 48 minutes after you arive home the geyser will switch on, automatically. You just have to lock up and go! Power is returned immediately when motion is detected again.

The HomeGuard can accept voltage inputs of 180 to 420Vac indefinitely as well as withstanding 6000Volt spikes. In addition, HomeGuard conforms tolocal EMI standards. The product can be installed by a certified electrician, without modification to the existing household's electricity network.

Mmaximum load is 230Vac at 20 Amps resistive or 1HP for compound loads. A suitably rated contractor can be interposed to serve higher load requirements.
