HOW DOES HOMEGUARD WORK?

HOMEGUARD comes with a motion detector and will switch off your geyser after 48 hours if no motion is detected, for example, when vacating the premises after the holiday.  When you enter your holiday home the geyser will automatically switch on as soon as the motion sensor detects your pressence. For COMMUTERS who need to switch their geysers off after they leave home in the morning and when they return at night, the timing cycle can be changed from 48 hours to 48 minutes.

There is no need to worry about power failures affecting the installation. HOMEGUARD's logging system ensures  trouble free operation after power failures. In the event of power failures, settings will be returned to the last logged status.

USEFUL ADDITIONAL FEATURES

HOMEGUARD can act as a master controller for your home's power system when linked with a contactor. More than one electrical device can then be managed this way. You could, for instance, connect the geyser, an air conditioner and under floor heaters etc.  contactor.  Again if  no motion is detectedfor 48 hours,  HOMEGUARD will shut down the power to the electrical devices mentioned.

The SABS approved HOMEGUARD has been designed by South African engineers for South Africa conditions. The unit also meets local EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) standards ensuring that this unit does not interfere with the operation of other  electromagnetic units
